David Donald Jahn


David Donald Jahn passed away on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 in Prairie du Chien. He was born in Baraboo on April 25, 1951, the son of Raymond and Marguerite (Brink) Jahn. Dave was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church. He was an auto mechanic before Multiple Sclerosis struck him about thirty years ago. For some years, Dave made fishing lures to help support himself. He loved being in the country; hunting, fishing and camping. In recent years, his hunting was with his camera, taking many photos of wildlife. He especially liked eagle watching.He is survived by his children, David A. Jahn, Stacy Imeri, Tracy Wade, Travis Jahn and Luke Jahn; several grandchildren; his mother, Marguerite Jahn; siblings, Susan (John) Lytle of Portage, Ronald (Aleesa) Jahn of Fayetteville, NC, Carol (John) Hagen of Sun Prairie, Stewart Jahn of Newmarket, NH; as well as nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his former wife, Virginia; his father, Ray Jahn, his grandparents, Don and Ruth Brink and Herb and Lucinda Jahn and his uncle, Herman Jahn.Memorial Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave. in Baraboo with Pastor Thomas Fricke officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.The Jahn family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and caregivers for their expertise and kindness.
