Donald J. Fluette


Donald J. Fluette, born May 9, 1944, passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 at the age of 68. He was surrounded by his loved ones.Born in Nahma, Mich. to Harriet (Fosberg) Miller and John Francais Fluette. He graduated from Baraboo Senior High School in 1964. He was drafted to the Army and stationed in Germany from 1965-1967. He worked at the Badger Army Ammunition Plant and later at RR Donnelly. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and the Milwaukee Brewers. If not watching sports, he had a great love for Western movies. He also bowled for many years at Thunderbird Lanes. Don went on three missionary trips to Guatemala. He was a member of One Life Assembly Church in Baraboo and the American Legion Post 172 in North Freedom.Survivors include, two children, a son, Tony (Shelly) Fluette of North Freedom; a daughter, Tracy Fluette of North Freedom; grandchildren, Traton, Alexis, Autumn, Emma and Carter; three brothers, John Fluette of Arena, Richard (Tammy) Van Enkevort of LaValle, David (Maureen) Van Enkevort of Poynette; two sisters, Karen (Don) Guzek of Michigan and Serena Anderson of Ohio; he is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Fluette; his parents; and three brothers, Jerry, Larry and William.A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. at One Life Assembly Church with Pastor Jon Arneson officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the church as well as on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom with Military Rites conducted by Post 172 of North Freedom. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
