Dennis James Luther

Dennis James Luther, age 57 of North Freedom, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at his home with Bonnie and Ron by his side.Dennis, the son of the late Anthony and Alma (Haas) Luther, was born on November 26, 1955 in Baraboo. He lived on the family farm his entire life where he enjoyed all of his animals, especially his chickens. Some of his favorite pass-times were hunting and fishing with his brothers, shopping and "bumming" around with his sisters. He enjoyed driving his mule, going up to his camper and challenging any visitors to a game of pool in his apartment. He loved the time he spent with all of his nieces and nephews, who were all his favorites. His great-nieces and nephews always held a special place in his heart. He will be dearly missed by his dog, Buddy.He is survived by his siblings, Ronny (Sandy) Luther, Wayne (Sally) Luther, Jean (Dave) Herritz, Judy Shelton, Dale (Lorene) Luther, Bonnie (Ron) Bell, Mona (Bill) Hilgemann, Tom (Mary) Luther, and Mike (Debbie) Luther; sister-in-law; Donna Luther, many special nieces and nephews ;other relatives and dear friends.In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Luther, and his brother-in-law, Tom Shelton.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Walnut Hill Bible Church in Baraboo with Pastor David Hutchens officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave. in Baraboo; further visitation will be held at Walnut Hill Bible Church on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service."Dennis is now sweeping away in heaven."
