Lenora A. Bochler


Lenora A. (Brooks) Bochler, age 76, of Baraboo passed away on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at St. Clare Meadows of Baraboo. Lenora was born on October 5, 1936 to Roy and Hilda Brooks in Baraboo. She married Kenneth A. Bochler on April 27, 1957 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo.Lenora was a graduate of Baraboo High School. She was employed for many years at AT&T (Bell) where she worked as a telephone operator. She also worked for a time at the Al Ringling Theatre and the Flambeau Outlet Store. Lenora was a very active member of the Baraboo community. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, serving in many capacities including Division D and past president of the Ladies Aid. She was an active member and former president of the Sons of Norway. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the former president of TOPS. She enjoyed helping others, and volunteered for several organizations including; Christian Women's Society and the Meals on Wheels program. She enjoyed traveling around the U.S. including Hawaii. She also had a passion for crafts, scrapbooking, and collecting various items, such as; bears, cups, angels, butterflies, bells, etc. Family was very important to Lenora, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.Lenora is survived by her husband, Ken; children, Mark Bochler of Baraboo, and Bryan (Carol) Bochler of Eagan, MN; grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, and Anna Bochler of Eagan, MN; sister Geraldine (Jerry) Todd of Vadnois Heights, MN; sister-in-law, Shirley Brooks of Madison, WI. She is further survived by numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.She was preceded by her parents; her brother, Bud Brooks; sisters Carol Diece and Norma Wheaton.A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Carl Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at the Redlin Funeral Home from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Additional visitation will take place at the church on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow immediately after the service at the Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom.
