 Donald McClearn, BarabooDonald R. McClearn, age 70 of Baraboo, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison on Wednesday, November 28, 2012.Donald, the son of the late James and Muriel (Prahl) McClearn, was born on August 9, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. He was united in marriage to Sharon Demere on May 16, 1974 in Chicago, Ill.He had been employed by the Chicago Tribune for many years. Don was an antique car enthusiast; he enjoyed going to car shows and working on his own antique car, his 1963 Chevy Impala.He is survived by his wife, Sharon; four children, daughter, Donna (Dan) McClearn, son, Joe (Michelle) McClearn, daughter, Jackie (John) Hogan, and daughter, Kelly McClearn; his son-in-law, Wayne Newby; nine grandchildren, Steffanie McClearn, Tylor Newby, J. R. Hogan, Kristin McClearn, Jessica Hogan, Kyle Pickarts, Blake Newby, Justin Mitchell, and Ryan Mitchell; his sister, Marilyn Surriano; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and James McClearn.Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Avenue in Baraboo. A Memorial Service will begin at 2 p.m. with Father Tim Renz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sauk County Home Care.
