David Burdick

David Earl Burdick, age 63 of Baraboo, was reunited with his wife Mona Burdick and taken into the Kingdom of the Lord on Monday, October 22, 2012. Dave was born on December 15, 1948 in Indiana to Edgar and Laferne (Wentland) Burdick. He met his beautiful wife in Baraboo and was married for over 37 years.Dave was a brave Army Veteran serving a tour in Vietnam from 1968-69. He was a roofing foreman for 20 years prior to the 20 years he spent working for the city of Baraboo; where he retired in 2011. His heaven on earth was sitting next to a warm campfire and fly fishing in the back drop of any lake in Wisconsin. He cared and loved for his family, in Baraboo, for most of his adult life. He was known as a quiet man that loved his family very much and worked extremely hard to help give them a great life. He did not have to speak about loyalty or hard work because he showed it by how he lived every day. When some people would have given up, he loved and cherished his wife during her 4 year battle with cancer. Although he loved his daughter, son, and granddaughter very much, he found great happiness and contentment in the arms of his wife and God.Dave continues to look over his children, Jim and Jenny (significant other Andrew); granddaughter, his "Butterfly" Jadyn ; sisters, Darlene and Valerie; Brothers, Kelly and Augy; and many other friends and family.Dave will always be a man we can look up to.A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 5 P.M. at Redlin Funeral Home.
