Scott A. Didrickson

Scott A. Didrickson, age 61, passed away peacefully at the Wisconsin Dells Health Services on Thursday, August 20, 2026. 

He was born on September 3, 1964, the son of A.J. and Rita Didrickson. He graduated from Baraboo High School in 1982. He went on to graduate with three bachelor degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He married Betsy Parks in 1990 and they welcomed two children into their family. Scott and Betsy later divorced. He served his country as a member of the Army Reserve. Scott was self-employed for most of his life. He was a photographer, a stay-home dad, a carpenter, and he produced and distributed a beer bread mix. Scott loved football, making sure to see the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers whenever they played. Scott was a great storyteller. It didn’t matter what the conversation was about, Scott would always say, “I’ve got a story about that”. Scott married Karen Nelson in 2011. 

He is survived by his wife Karen Nelson; his children, Kristof (Bryan) Didrickson and Karli (Alex) Klintworth. He is also survived by his five sisters: Annette, Kelly, Nichole, Christa, and Alexandria. 

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his former wife Betsy. 

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for October 14, 2026.
