David A. Kehoe

David A. Kehoe, age 79, passed away on August 1, 2026 with loved ones at his side. David  valued family, faith, and community. He was social, could easily strike up a conversation and enjoyed a good laugh. After graduation from Baraboo High School, he attended MATC and UW-Platteville, becoming skilled in several trades.  He served in the Army National Guard and worked at the Badger Ammunition Plant while it was being decommissioned.  

He married his high-school sweetheart, Dianne (Budig) on August 24, 1968. They moved to St. Charles, MO, where they raised their four daughters.  David worked as a specialty welder, a lead burner, for 20 years. The last several years in this role took him out of town to job sites in other states. Dianne and the girls were able to join him out West several times, over summer breaks. These vacations became treasured family memories-visiting numerous national parks and exploring new places.

In 1994, David and his family returned to Baraboo and he eventually went into business doing remodeling and construction work. He was an all-around handyman, the kind of person who always had several projects underway. David was happy to share his knowledge and time with others.  He was a trusted resource for his family and friends and taught his daughters the value of hard work.

David was a member of St. Joseph Parish, the Elks Club, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and the Knights of Columbus. He was especially proud of being a Fourth Degree Knight.  He volunteered often at parish events and, twice, traveled with a mission-group to Haiti.

In retirement, he enjoyed sightseeing, traveling throughout the western United States with his camper trailer, and taking several international trips before eventually becoming a snowbird in Summerfield, Florida. David enjoyed everything to do with classic cars, owning and restoring several of them over the years. Additional hobbies included bowling, woodworking, and golf, one of his most recent pursuits. 

David is survived by his daughters and their families, Beth (Brian) Kehoe-Huck, Shelly (Nick) Morehouse, Kristen Burton, and Kim (Ryan) Boardman; grandchildren, Isabel, Carter, Silas, Adelaide, Chloe and Corbin; siblings, Rose Ringelman, Daniel Kehoe, and Jeanne Newman; as well as other relatives and friends, including close companion Una Teelin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne; his parents, Lillian (Bill) Radtke and Lawrence (Jay) Kehoe; siblings, William Kehoe, Frances Patricia ‘Pat’ Jeglum, and Kevin Kehoe.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Mark Wagner officiating. A Rosary will be said in David’s honor at 9:15 a.m. at church. Visitation will be held at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. The Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
