Harold William Mueller , Age 85

Harold William Mueller, age 85, of Baraboo, died on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Harold, son of Val and Irene (Gruber) Mueller, was born May 15, 1941 in Ironton Township. He attended grade school at St. Joseph Catholic School and was a graduate of Portage High School. On November 14, 1959 he enlisted in the National Guard and was later activated during the 1961 Berlin Crisis. He proudly served until his honorable discharge on August 7, 1962. Harold was a long-time member of Walnut Hill Bible Church and was an avid member of their bible study groups. He treasured time with his family and his four grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy. Harold also took great pride in maintaining his farm. He was a member of the Antique Snowmobile Club of America for many years.

Survivors include his children, Scott (Angie), Michael (Shelly) and Patrick Mueller, all of Baraboo; four grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Lawler, Sara (Evan) McNaughton, Peter (Joslyn) Mueller, and Hannah Mueller; great grandson Reed McNaughton; as well as his former wife, Patricia Mueller; siblings, Grace Barden, Mary Jane Manthey, Joan Henke, Cathy Grinde, Marvin Mueller, Michael Mueller, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Helen Janzen, John Mueller, Paul Mueller, Eugene Mueller, Monica Krejchik and David Mueller.

A funeral service for Harold will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Walnut Hill Bible Church with Pastor Dan Gunderson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with military honors will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in Harold’s name to be used toward Make-A-Wish Wisconsin and fulfilling life-changing wishes for kids with critical illness. The Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
