Rose Marie Breunig , Age 74


April 28, 1952 --April 29, 2026

Rose Marie Breunig, age 74, of Baraboo, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at SSM St. Clare Hospital.

Rose, the daughter of Arthur and Stella Irene (Benson) Breunig, was born on April 28, 1952. She grew up and spent much of her life in the Sauk Prairie and Roxbury area, graduating from Sauk Prairie High School in 1970.

Rose was united in marriage to Robert M. Miller, who preceded her in death on November 23, 2006. Together, they raised their son, Anthony “Tony” Lee Breunig. Throughout her life, Rose lived in Florida, Nashville, and Wisconsin.

She dedicated many years of her career as an accountant with Mueller Sports Medicine, retiring in 2017.

Rose found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She cherished scenic drives through the countryside and Devil’s Lake State Park with her sister, Geri. She enjoyed summer mornings having coffee on the deck with her neighbor and dear friend, Julie Showers. One of her greatest joys was receiving long, loving hugs from her granddaughter, Alexis Victoria Rose Breunig. Rose especially treasured her daily morning coffee time with her son, Tony.

She is survived by her son, Tony Breunig of Baraboo; granddaughters, Alexis Breunig of Baraboo, and Emma Bedor of Madison; sisters, Geri Breunig of Sauk Prairie, and Myra (Dan) Pacitti of Port St. Lucie, FL; brother, Rick (Diana) Breunig of Columbus; nieces, Autumn Fuller and her son, Maxwell, of Prairie du Sac; and Laura Breunig of Prairie du Sac; nephews, Forest (Ashley) Fuller, and their daughter, Geneva, of Waunakee, Christopher Breunig of Boise, ID, Eric Breunig of Sun Prairie, Joshua Privett of Port St. Lucie, FL and Billy Breunig of Thailand; as well as her second daughter, Patti Lintl of Baraboo; as well as many other relatives and friends

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Stella Irene Breunig, her husband, Robert M. Miller; sister, Peggy Privett; brothers, Bill Breunig and Keith Breunig, along with Keith’s partners in life, Billy Hightower, and Richard Wilkinson.

Rose will be remembered for her warmth, her love of family, and the quiet, meaningful moments she shared with those closest to her.

A Celebration of Life for Rose will be held at a later date.
