James Franklin “Jimmy” “JR” Randolph , Age 60


March 24, 1966 --April 16, 2026

James Franklin “Jimmy” “JR” Randolph age 60, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 16, 2026.  James, son of James and Loretta (Karp) Randolph, was born on March 24, 1966 in Chicago, IL.  He graduated from East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL.

JR spent much of his career working at Flambeau Plastics. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, bird watching, fishing, golfing, trains and watching sports, especially cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers and the Chicago Bears. He and Kristi enjoyed their frequent walks with his dog, Sage along the Baraboo River Walk.

JR is survived by his partner of 20 years, Kristi Ferguson; daughters, Chelsea (Carlos Proano) Randolph, and Jessica (Tracy Wenger) Randolph; step-daughters, Jessica Angus, Ashley Angus, and Victoria McNair; 6 grandchildren; his father, James Randolph; sister, Jennifer (Chris Zakos) Randolph; as well as many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Loretta; aunt, Veronica Olson; uncle, Matthew Karp; as well as other extended family members.

A funeral service for JR will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home as well as from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Burial will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery. While flowers are encouraged, if desired, memorials may be made to the family.
