Frank Leo Gray , Age 76

April 17, 1949 --December 14, 2025

Frank Leo Gray, age 76, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at St. Clare Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Frank, son of Frank Jr. and Anna (Jachin) Gray, was born on April 17, 1949, in Italy. He moved to the United States with his parents at just six months old.

Frank began his career in construction at the age of 17. He spent his working years as a union laborer and foreman, earning the respect of those who worked alongside him. On November 24, 1973, Frank was united in marriage to the love of his life, Kathy Ohman. Together, they shared 52 wonderful years and raised three children: Gretchen, Alicia, and Ben.

Frank was always willing to help his family and friends whenever they needed him. He cherished time spent outdoors, especially tending to his garden during the summer months. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. An avid reader, Frank could often be found at the library. Above all else, he loved supporting his grandchildren and took great pride in attending their events whenever possible.

Frank is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Gretchen (Chris) Rahn, Alicia Gray, and Ben (Beth) Gray; six grandchildren; brother, Robin (Alice) Gray; sister, Janet (Joel) Andres; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rosanna.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at a later date.

In honor of Frank’s love of reading, memorials may be made to the Baraboo Public Library.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the ICU staff at St. Clare Hospital for the compassionate care and support they provided to Frank and his family.
