Sharon M. Kopecky, age 79, of Baraboo, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital, with her family by her side.
Sharon was born to Leo and Mary Jane (O’ Heron) Koenig on November 25, 1945 in LaCrosse. Sharon married Rodney Kopecky, on August 15, 1969 in Baraboo. Together, they were married for 56 years and had three children, Chad (Kelly) Kopecky, Kristin (Greg) Bisch, Katie (Eric) Schlender; six grandchildren, Grace and Emma Kopecky, Morgan (Jordan) Hoffman, Makenna Bisch, Sadie and Adam Schlender. Sharon is further survived by her sisters, Shirley (Jim) Marquardt and Jean (Bud) Raymer; brother, Jack (Mary) Koenig; sisters-in-law, Karen (Don) Bader and Kathy Reynolds, many nieces and nephews, other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, George (Dorothy) Kopecky; brothers, Dean Koenig, infant brother Steven Koenig and brother-in-law, George Kopecky.
Per her wishes, there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
