Judy Ann Licht, age 73, of North Freedom passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 after tending to her flowers in the lawn. Judy, daughter of Tony and Ersel (Cady) Vielhuber, was born September 29, 1951. On May 26, 1973, she was united in marriage to Daniel W. Licht at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo.
Judy loved living on the farm that is filled with multi-generational memories along with having numerous friends and neighbors close by. She loved being Dan's wife, Kari and Andy's Mom, and Aiden and Taylor's Grandma. She was proud of the people Kari and Andy had become and the people Aiden and Taylor were becoming. Her family was the focus of her life, and her grandkids were her pride and joy.
She loved taking care of her lawn and flowers. Hummingbirds and bluebirds were some of her favorite animals, and she was integral part of the "Honey Boy" brand. She was the secretary of the Sauk-Columbia Honey Producers for several years and Treasurer of the Town of Freedom for over 20 years as well.
She will be remembered as a kind soul and faithful follower of Jesus. She always remembered special occasions with a card or small gift. She had a way of making people feel special by a kind gesture - a true "Honey Girl."
Judy was strong willed. If she had her mind made up, good luck changing it! She was slow and steady, not wanting to be rushed. She was careful about showing her outward emotions, but had a kind, thoughtful, and tender heart.
Judy will be missed by everyone. Her smile and laugh lit up a room.
She is survived by her son, Andrew Licht of North Freedom; daughter, Kari (Michael) Dineen of Baraboo; grandson, Aiden Dineen; granddaughter, Taylor Dineen; siblings, Linda Vielhuber of La Crosse; Richard (Dianne) Vielhuber of Reedsburg; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Licht) Roecker of Reedsburg, and Linda (Ron) Green of Winneconne; as well as nieces; nephews; other relatives and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dan, parents, In-laws, and many loved ones.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 11am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo with Pastor Tim Kuske officiating. Visitation will be from 9am until the time of service at church. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church are appreciated.

I’m so sorry for the grief your Family is going through. I would often see Judy outside her home with her grandkids. She had a beautiful flower garden and I could tell she took pride in her home. Rest in Peace Judy.
