Pamela Jean “Pam” Dent, age 73, of Baraboo, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 at St. Clare Hospital.
Pam, daughter of Adron and Reyon (Erthal) Mathews was born September 30, 1951. On May 13, 1968, she was united in marriage to George “Butch” Dent, Sr.; he preceded her in death on July 8, 2020. Pam worked in customer service throughout her working career in the Baraboo area; she enjoyed making friends at all of her jobs throughout the community.
Pam loved watching old movies, reading biographies and quilting; she made quilts for all of her family members. The holidays were her favorite; Christmas being top of the list. Shopping brought Pam joy, especially QVC. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, George Jr. (Michelle) Dent, Tammy (Doug) Matejcek, Steven (Crystal) Dent; five grandchildren, Amanda Dent, Eliana and Zac Matejcek, Makayla and Addison Dent; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Butch and her brother, Dennis (Karen) Mathews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Stevens officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
