Marcella May Parchem, age 85, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Our House Assisted Living with family by her side. Marcella, daughter of Leon and LaVina (Lawton) Jackson was born on June 3, 1939 in Wonewoc. She was a 1957 high school graduate. On Sept. 17, 1965, she was united in marriage to Gene Donald Parchem. She owned and operated the Feedmill Sandwich and Pizza Parlor in downtown Baraboo for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and shopping.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Gene; children, Teresa (Craig) Parchem, Philip (Terri) Herritz, Roger Herritz, Michael Herritz, Robert (Sue) Herritz, Susan (Daniel) Gerrish; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; she is further survived by her siblings, Shirley (Bernard) Carley, Bruce (Annie) Jackson, Robert (Faith) Jackson, Sharon (Ed) Statz, James (Rosey) Jackson, Thomas (Kathy) Jackson, Danny (Heather) Jackson; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Douglas and LeRoy Jackson; sisters, Julia Garrity, Gladys Feinberg and LaBerta Price as well as numerous other relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
