Patricia Sue “Pat” Naquin, age 86, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at St. Clare Hospital. Patricia, daughter of Lt. Colonel Boyce Denny Ceaglske and Patricia Ann (Selover) Johnson was born April 6, 1938 in Merrill, Wisconsin. She attended and graduated from Our Lady of The Holy Cross High School. After school, she moved to Milwaukee where she met the love of her life, Joseph E. “Joe” Naquin. On October 5, 1957, she and Joe were united in marriage at St. Anthony of Padua in New Orleans; he preceded her in death on January 12, 2017. She had various jobs in her younger years, she worked for Schlitz Brewing in Milwaukee and after moving with Joe to Baraboo, she was employed by the Sauk County Health Department and Emergency Management for many years until she retired. She also worked for Ross Floral and Hapco/Travgo.
Pat was a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts for many years and was a part of the Baraboo Theatre Guild. She was a 50 plus year member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Faith was a very important part of Pat’s life; she volunteered for many years as the Director for the Children’s Choir, sang in many weddings, Ave Maria would bring many to tears; she was a member of the adult’s choir, Daughters of Isabella, assisted with giving communion to the homebound and was a dedicated member of St. Martha’s Circle which in part served funeral meals.
She is survived by her children, Joey (Sandy) Naquin, Jamie (Bonnie) Naquin, Jeaunne (Ken) Sorenson, Jenny Mueller, Jill Quinn; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; daughters, Mary Pat Naquin and, Julie Mitchell; sons-in-law, Tom Mueller and Andy Mitchell; granddaughter, Nikki Spencer; and great-granddaughter, Kennedey Mueller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Garrett Kau officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at St. Clare Hospital for their guidance through this very difficult time as well as to dear friends, Jeanie and Marv Mueller for their support. The Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
