Norman R. Nimmow, age 92, of Reedsburg, formerly of Baraboo, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Casa de Oakes in Reedsburg. Norman, son of Waldemar and Hermine Nimmow was born July 7, 1932. He was united in marriage to Connie A. Baker on December 4, 1965 in Granite City, Illinois; she preceded him in death on May 30, 2024.
Norman grew up in Rock Springs and was a graduate of Reedsburg Area High School. He was employed by the Reedsburg School District as a Custodian until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time in nature and reading.
He is survived by his children, Patrick Nimmow and Tina Hedtcke, both of Baraboo; grandchildren, Tyler and Asha Urben, Jonah, Caleb and Anna Nimmow; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Gladden and Peyton Brandt; siblings, Sig Nimmow, Faith Jackson, Herman Nimmow, Val Zamzow, Rose Jackson as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Connie; and his siblings, Wally Nimmow, Dora Peterson, Ed Nimmow, Don Nimmow, Cicely Sugden.
Memorial Services for Norman will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Weiss officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
