Nancy Mae McCarville-Nelson passed away on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, at the age of 83.
She did everything with love—and she did it with style. Heads turned when Nancy entered a room, as everyone was drawn to her beautiful energy and warm smile. A true lover of classic country music, Nancy often echoed that she “was country when country wasn’t cool.” With fringe swaying and cowboy boots tapping, she would lose herself in the lyrics of life’s ups and downs, letting the music lift her spirits and make her feel more alive.
Nancy’s life was the embodiment of a country song, full of heart and resilience. She gave selflessly to others, even when times were tough. Whether caring for family, helping out siblings, spoiling her dogs, or lending a hand to friends and neighbors, Nancy always found thoughtful ways to show she cared. She taught generosity through action, believed that “mind over matter” could get you through anything, and made sure every detail—whether a puffed couch cushion or a perfectly mixed cocktail—was just right.
She gave so much love to those in her life and was deeply loved in return.
Those left to cherish Nancy’s memory include her daughters, Wendy (Mark), Carey (John), and Mikki (Eric); her grandchildren, Wendi, Carly, and Corey; her siblings, Rusty and Sherry; as well as nieces, cousins, and friends. She is reunited in heaven with her husband, Bobby; her parents, Russell and Emily; her brother, Kenny; her former husband and friend, Mike; and her beloved dogs.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring.

I will miss my very sweet friend very much. Nancy and I were great friends for many years over here in Berkeley Boulevard. She had a heart of gold, and was a devoted mother to her children. And totally devoted to her sweet animals.. I will miss her terribly. She’s in good hands and in good company.

Nancy you are out of pain and stress,,and you can be with ones again that you had memorable times with, RIP Nancy and may perpetual light shine on you always ...I am in total shock, condolences to Wendy, Carey, Mickki, and their families, Sherry and Rusty.....God Bless everyone...so sorry for your loss...Nancy was an entertaining person, from my viewpoint and will be missed immensely, by the ones who cared for her.
