Sharon M. Burns , Age 79

December 21, 1945 --December 29, 2024

Sharon M. Burns, age 79, of Baraboo, Wisconsin passed away on December 29, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, with family by her side.

She is survived by her husband Jerry and son, Mark (wife Jamie), granddaughter Emilee (Miborn) grandson Charlie as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon grew up in Abilene, Texas and has resided in Baraboo for the last 45 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Dorothy Albright as well as her two sisters, Sandra Lookingbill and Suzanne Barton.

She was a vibrant person who enjoyed spending time with people, especially playing cards and dominos. She was also an avid sports fan, never missing a Cowboy’s football game.

There was always a big place in her heart for animals. She adored her two dogs, Peanut and Buddy, who were almost always by her side. She also enjoyed and appreciated nature, spending a great deal of time watching wildlife.

Sharon will be dearly missed. Her unrelenting courage when faced with adversity was inspirational. The kindness and unconditional love she had for family and friends will forever remain in our hearts.

Per Sharon’s wishes, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to her two favorite charities, the Sauk County Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
