Joyce Lucille Cone, age 86, of Baraboo, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024 with family by her side at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.
Joyce, the daughter of Russell and Alice (Wrchota) Cone was born on September 13, 1938 in Baraboo. Joyce graduated from Webb High School in 1956. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and playing bingo with her friends at Our House Senior Living, where she resided for the last four years. She especially loved to spend time with her family. She was best known for sending greeting cards, writing letters to everyone and her famous brandy slush. She also loved to spend time cooking, baking, playing euchre, and watching NASCAR as well as the Green Bay Packers.
She is survived by her children, Michael “Buck” (Sandy) Gavin, David “Skinny” Gavin, Tammi Gavin, Lori (Mike) Neitzel; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; other relatives and dear friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary “Goose” Gavin; grandson, David Gavin Jr. and great-grandson, Kaysen Murray.
Private Services will be held in the spring of 2025.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.

My sympathies to the entire family. Joyce was a great friend to our mother this past year and a half. Her kindness was greatly appreciated and I really enjoyed listening to their conversations. She will truly be missed.
