It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of David William Fikar announce his passing on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the young age of 62 years. Surrounded by his 3 daughters, David found peace and soared to the heavens after a defiant battle with cancer.
David was born to Charles and Evelyn (Carter) Fikar on February 27, 1962. Dave, the eldest of 4, attended Wisconsin Dells High and studied mechanics at Madison Area Technical College. Dave, an auto mechanic by trade was forever expanding his knowledge to fix everything and anything. David married Tami Beardsley on January 8, 2008, on the sandy beach of Picnic Island, Fl. Tami preceded Dave in death April 30, 2016, she was a true light in Dave’s life; losing Tami took away a piece of his heart.
David was a good man with a tough exterior. Dave’s life wasn’t easy, nor was his death but his stubborn grace carried him high and strong, through and through. He enjoyed the quiet moments such as fishing and cuddling with his kitties: Yoda and MellonHead (a hard life street cat) that Dave saw a bit of his own reflection in. David was a friend to all, always there when needed, giving the t-shirt off his own back. Dave’s fast life and fondest memories were filled with Nascar crashes and driving the Tow Truck on the Wisconsin Dells Raceway. He loved the fast lane and rode it as far as he could. David was, more than proud of his three daughters; always stating “he had the 3 most beautiful sons ever.” He knew he had raised 3 smart, strong, independent women that could not only handle the world but achieve in it.
Dave is survived by his daughters, Shawna (Matt) Fikar, Sanya (Quinn) Fikar and Desirae (Chris) Fikar; Tami's children, Derick Glaudell and Jessica Beardsley; grandchildren Katelyn Fikar and Ryan Myrick; brothers Aaron (Rita) Fikar, Kevin Fikar; his sister Kathy (Mark) Korson; and many, many friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Evelyn (Carter) Fikar and his loving wife, Tami Sue Fikar.
Special Thanks to the Palliative Care team: Susan Sutherland RN and Emily Wolter NP, Dr. Rani Saoud MD and the 8 th Tower nursing staff at Unity Point Health Meriter Hospital; you are all truly dedicated with companion, kindness and caring hearts.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

Dave and I worked together for a Cpl yrs at Dells Raceway Park and 5 County Towing. He was always a joy to be around and he and Tami were the life of the work parties. Dave was always there to help a person in need too. Heaven gained a great one. Now he and Dick Trickle can share stories about the Dells Speedway. RIP David . My condolences to his family and many friends.

I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to David's three daughters , who I have known for years. I just recently found out about his death when I was searching for another obituary. I apologize for not being at his funeral.
