Carole Ann Gerken , Age 82


February 16, 1942 --October 04, 2024

Carole Ann Gerken, age 82, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Carole, daughter of John P. and Ethel M. (Borland) Doudna, was born February 16, 1942 in Richland Center. She was employed by Sysco Foods as a financial bidder for many years. Carole was a loving mom and nana who enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in all of their adventures. 

She is survived by her children, Robin Teasdale, Michael (Wendy) Gerken, all of Baraboo; six grandchildren, Anthony (Jenna) Teasdale, Jordan (Cari Jo) Teasdale, Jenna (Nick) Elmer, Lizbeth (Kody) Lane, Shelby Gerken and Taylor (Nicole) Gerken; 14 great-grandchildren, Clayton, Carter, Bryson, Jaycie, Joanna, Josalyn, Jevon, Griffin, Violet, Paxton, Kade, Keira, Moxin, and Baby Gerken. She is further survived by her siblings, Gary (Gil) Doudna, Jim (Norma) Ewing, Barbara (Terry) Nimocks and David (Fran) Ewing with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Carole was preceded in death by her parents and a friend, Ralph Gerken. 

Private Services will be held with David Ewing officiating.

My condolences to the family. I am so glad I got to know and work with Carole. I am very glad that this last month we enjoyed lunch together along with other friends. She was sharing with me updates on her grandchildren and great grandchildren which was so fun to hear about! What a wonderful person. Cherish the memories. I am sure there are many!!!
