Frank R. Mosz , Age 93

Frank R. Mosz, age 93, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024 with his family by his side.

Frank was born in Chicago, IL, on November 21, 1930, the son of Stanley and Mary (Durlak) Mosz. He graduated from Kelly High School in Chicago, Class of 1948. He met Rose Marie Slovak and they married on September 10, 1955 at St. Camillus Church in Chicago. Frank worked for Ace Hardware Corporation for 26 years in Retail Sales. Then he worked for Ruff & Associates in Christmas Retail and Design for 15 years. Frank and Rose assisted many  seminarians in the Diocese of Chicago through their journey to priesthood. Frank was longtime member of St. Joseph Church in Baraboo. He enjoyed his membership and participation in the Knights of Columbus and obtained the Fourth Degree Knight. 

He is survived by his dear wife of 69 years, Rose Marie; his daughters, Debbie (Tim) Barnish, Janice (Tom) Hart; grandchildren, Brian (Tiffany) Barnish, Jessica (Tim) Horn; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Grayson, Amiyah, and Ryan; other relatives and dear friends. 

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers and four sisters. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 on Friday, October 11, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Luke Powers presiding.  Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Our deepest Condolences Rose and family. He was a great Catholic man. I remember coming to your home once for Mass outside with our Medjugorje prayer group. Thank you for bringing to our St Joseph church the Most Beautiful Authentic Divine Mercy image from Poland that hangs proudly in our entrance at church! May your soul rest in the arms of Jesus.
