Jeffrey Paul `Jeff` Giebel


December 30, 1957 --May 16, 2024

Jeffrey Paul Giebel, age 66, of Baraboo, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 unexpectedly at home. Jeffrey, son of Marvin and LaVerne (Thompson) Giebel was born Dec. 30, 1957. He was a graduate of Baraboo High School, Class of 1976. He worked for Steele Concrete prior to working for Flambeau Plastics until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool. Family will remember him for being a story teller; he loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. Jeff was a long-time member of the Badger Steam and Gas Show.

He is survived by his father, Marv; siblings, Glen (Sandy) Giebel, Dennis Giebel, Rhonda Andersen, and Greg (Nancy) Giebel; nieces and nephews, Erin Andersen, Kevin (Rachel) Giebel, Kristalee Giebel, Chris (Desi) Andersen, Cody (Brittany) Gray, Niki (Evan) Denny, as well as other relatives and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, LaVerne; brother-in-law, Mike Andersen and his dog, Duke.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Kuske officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home as well as on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Butterfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
