October 12, 1956 --February 25, 2024

Melva M. Ringelstetter, age 67, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her family.

Melva, daughter of Melvin and Adeline (Thralow) Geyman was born on October 12, 1956 in Baraboo. She graduated from Baraboo High School in 1974 and was united in marriage with Gordon Ringelstetter on June 11, 1975 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Together they enjoyed camping and fishing throughout the state, staying at one of her favorite places, Door County, at least once a year. Melva loved to crochet. She enjoyed making her family pieces but was always donating extra pieces to anyone in need. She taught her grandchildren how to crochet, in which they are all very proud of being able to do what grandma did. She loved animals and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her family was her world.

Melva is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gordon; her children, Martin (Angie) Ringelstetter, Gordon Jr. (Hollie) Ringelstetter, Jesse (Maggie Mae) Ringelstetter, April (Benjamin) Seering; grandchildren, DrewAnna Ringelstetter, Mason Ringelstetter, Alexis Denman, Molly (Tyler) Roberts, Beau Hitchcock, Oliver Ringelstetter, Elliott Ringelstetter, Kendra Seering; great-grandchildren, Hope Hanson, Grace Roberts, Tate Andrew Roberts; as well as many “grandchildren” that claimed her as grandma, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Melva was preceded by her parents, her brother, Martin Geyman and her brother figure, Mark David Pilger.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery with her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.

Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
