Ruth R. Kluender

Ruth R. Kluender, age 88, of Baraboo passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Sauk County Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family. 

Ruth, daughter of Lee and Emma (Capener) Curry was born November 29, 1935. She was a graduate of Baraboo High School. On August 30, 1957 she was united in marriage to Eugene H. Kluender; he preceded her in death on February 16, 2017. Ruth was an Eastern Star Member for many years. She was employed by Industrial Coils for over 35 years. Being a woman who couldn’t sit still, after retirement she found many smaller jobs including Gardner’s Bakery, McDonalds, and many gas stations in the area. In her free time, she enjoyed embroidery, ceramics, reading romance books, vacationing, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Littlegeorge, Tracy Heidemann, Tammy (Donald) Ouimet, Todd (Sylvia) Kluender and Tim Kluender; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald Curry as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; brothers, Roger Curry, Ed Curry and Lee Curry; sister-in-law, Alice Szejna; sons-in-law, Bradley Littlegeorge and Mike Heidemann.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery.
