Tina L. Kirchberg

BARABOO- Tina L. Kirchberg (nee Anderson), age 54, of Baraboo, unexpectedly passed away at her home on December 29, 2023.

Tina was born in Monroe on October 05, 1969 to William Buol and Anna (Frenzel) Anderson. She graduated from Baraboo High School in 1987. Tina worked at the Square Tavern for many years and also was a housekeeper for some of her favorite patrons. 

Everyone who knew Tina knew that her personality was larger than life. Her commanding presence allowed you to know exactly where you stood with her. If you were on her good side, that was the best place to be as she loved you hard; you now had a friend for life. Tina would never let anyone go through hard times alone, she would make sure of that. Tina’s booming voice and her infectious laugh will be very missed, and our lives will forever be too quiet. 

Tina was passionate about many things, but nothing matched the love for her family. Everything she did was for Kaitlyn and Kody. Tina was able to cross off the biggest thing on her bucket list this year, when she got to see Drake in concert with Kaitlyn. She was so proud of Kody’s accomplishments in football and was a firm believer that he will do great things. Her relationship with her father was unlike any other. She always said, “I am the female Willie Buol”. Being the big sister was a role she didn’t take lightly, and she was always the fierce protector. One of her favorite things to do with her sisters was to lay out in the sun. Forever a sun goddess, she always had the most beautiful tan. Our hearts are shattered, and we are lost, but we take comfort knowing she is with Amy; she is our loudest and strongest angel.

Tina leaves behind her precious children, Kaitlyn and Kody; her father, William Buol; her second mom, Cheri (Don) Padley; her sisters, Sheila (Craig) Philipp and Sara Buol; her brother, Robert Anderson; her nieces, Alexis Blackford, Brooklyn Fisher, Natalie Philipp and Amira Trautsch; her nephews, Brandon Fisher, Brady Fisher, Rickson Rosales, Justin Philipp, Casey Philipp, and Liam LaVigne; the father of her children, Jason Kirchberg and her former in-laws, Deb (Heavy Burdick) McCarthy. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna (Frenzel) Anderson; her beloved sister, Amy Jo (Buol) Fisher; both sets of grandparents; aunts, uncles, multiple cousins, and very close friends. 

Per Tina’s wishes, she will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Visitation will be from 12noon until the time of the service at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe has been organized by Erin Nonn for Tina’s children.
