Robert C. Klingenmeyer , Age 80


June 09, 1943 --December 27, 2023

BARABOO- Robert C. Klingenmeyer, age 80, of Baraboo, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at St. Clare Hospice House in Baraboo. 

Robert was born the fifth child of Clarence and Marjorie (McCoy) Klingenmeyer on June 9, 1943 in Baraboo.  He graduated from Baraboo High School then served his country by enlisting in the Army; having served in Germany. He had worked at Cenex and Isenberg’s. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid Brewers and Packers fan. 

He is survived by his brother, Jerry “Gramps” Klingenmeyer; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, David Fry; other relatives and dear friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Eugene (Elaine) Klingenmeyer, Joyce (Duane) Washburn, Patsy (Bill) Cummings, Nancy Fry and Durlin Klingenmeyer. 

Due to the predicted weather, the graveside service with Military Honors has changed to THURSDAY, January 11, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom.  

The family will still be holding the Celebration of Life on FRIDAY, January 12, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the North Freedom Community Center in the Village Hall, 105 North Maple Street, North Freedom.

Bob was my neighbor and fellow student of North Freedom school. He was always doing all he could for the Memorial Day parade in North Freedom. He loved living in North Freedom. RIP Bob. Sympathy to Jerry.

Bob & I were cousins & grew up together in North Freedom. He loved to visit with everyone & was always in good spirits. He gave his all to make the North Freedom American Legion a success. Bob will be missed by many. My heartfelt sympathies to his family.
