Lane L. LaViolette , Age 60

January 19, 1963 --November 25, 2023

Lane LaViolette, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, left this world on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, leaving a legacy of love, resilience, and unforgettable memories. He is joined in death by his parents, Ken and Jane La Violette, brother Larry, and sister-in-law Terri LaViolette.

He is fondly remembered and deeply missed by his wife Terri, with whom he shared a passion for travel and adventure. His children Ryan (Anne) Andersen, Mandy (Jerry) Hunt, Alyssa (Alex) Schenck, and Ben LaViolette will be forever grateful for his unwavering commitment and love as he stepped up to be the loving father they needed. His grandchildren, Sadie, Addie, Maia, Tilly, Emmy, and Beau, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, will cherish the warmth and joy their Papa brought into their lives.

Lane was a man of many talents and hobbies. He ran marathons, a testament to his discipline and determination. His quiet generosity knew no bounds as he regularly donated his time and even his hair and blood to charities. His dry and witty sense of humor was a source of endless laughter and will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Lane also had a flair for cooking, creating many family favorite recipes that, despite their sometimes questionable appearance, were always delicious.

Lane's legacy is one of quiet kindness, strength, laughter, love and doing the right thing.  He taught us to embrace life's journey with a brave heart and a kind spirit.  Lane LaViolette's story is not one of goodbye, but one of gratitude for the time shared, the lessons learned, and the love given.

In lieu of flowers, Lane's family would request you consider donating to a veteran’s organization or donating blood to the American Red Cross if you can as Lane had done regularly for years. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

I only worked with Lane for a short time, but he left an impression as a good-hearted, honest person who was always willing to take some time to answer questions and help others. He was quick to smile and always put effort into understanding where others were coming from. My sympathies go out to the family, he will definitely leave a hole in the lives of anyone that spent time with him.
