Denny Smith

Denny Smith, born in West Allis on June 25, 1952, passed away in Baraboo, the town he lovingly referred to as "Clown Town", on March 30, 2023. A champion of the people, he was known to stop people on the street to offer a ride, a warm meal, or a place to stay. Denny was also a smart ass, quick with the one-liners that strove to make people smile. He was trained as an industrial electrician in the Air Force and in his retirement, he volunteered with the DAV, the VA office, and the Sauk County Dems. He was most proud of his advocacy work for Veterans. He is survived by his son Corey H Smith, daughter and son in law Danielle and Colin Dufft and his three sisters, Nancy Ryan, Sharon Bartz, and Patricia Revall. He is preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Ann Smith and brother Mike Smith.

A celebration of Life will be held at Ochsner Park in Baraboo on June 2nd at 4 pm.
