Reginald H. Briggs, age 86, of Baraboo, passed away April 25, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Reginald was born June 20, 1936, at the Ringling Hospital in
Baraboo, the son of the late Reginald J. and Petra Mimi (Madland) Briggs.
Reginald was united in marriage on August 23, 1957, to Mardell Hanson at the
Baraboo Assembly of God. They lovingly celebrated their 65th anniversary last,
August. This marriage was blessed with 3 children.
Reginald proudly served in the 82nd Airborne as a Parachute Rigger from 1954
1957. He was employed at the Baraboo News Republic, Badger Army Ammunition
Plant and finished his career of 27 years at Baraboo School District. He was a
lifelong member of Baraboo Assembly of God where he loved serving as a Royal
Ranger Commander. Reginald was a true man of God and always placed his Jesus, family, and faith as a top priority. His legacy of hard work and always helping others will live on through his children and grandchildren.
Reginald is survived by his wife, Mardell, his children and their spouses: Marty
(Traci) Briggs of Green Bay, and their children, Bobbi (Daniel) Loderbauer and their son, Nathan, of Green Bay, WI, and Abbi (Alex) Vernon of Sun Prairie, WI, Joseph (Laurie) Briggs of Baraboo, WI, and Julie (Russell) Leabo of Gresham, OR., and their children Andrew (Emily) Leabo and their son, Eren, of Seattle, WA, Weston (Courtney) Leabo of Gresham, OR, and Casey (Taylor) Leabo of West Linn, OR.
He is further survived by his sibling, Martha Phillips, Betty (Ed) Denman, Melvin
(Cora) Briggs, Pauline (Michael) Dillard, Marilyn Briggs, and brother-in-law,
Warren Steinhorst, in addition to many nieces and nephews.
Reginald was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Joseph Briggs and sister, Mimi Steinhorst.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the New Life Community Advent Church, 1919 Elizabeth Street in Baraboo, WI. At 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Amos Vande Hei officiating. The visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow at the Walnut Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.

Heidi and I send our heartfelt condolences to the Briggs family. This was a man that we worked with and admired greatly. He was a humble, gracious, passionate man of God. Reggie "walked the walk" and we will forever be grateful for our friendship with him. This was a man that exuded servanthood! We thank God for putting Reggie in our lives.
