Darlene Joyce Schultz , Age 85
Darlene Joyce (Paske) Schultz, age 85, passed away on July 24, 2022.Darlene was born October 27, 1936, in Portage, Wisconsin to Edward and Mary (Hill) Paske. She was married to William (Bill) Schultz in Portage (1955) and moved to Baraboo.
Darlene was employed at the Magdalene Home for approximately 28 years. She started working there part-time as a housekeeper and then as a manager. She enjoyed working with the residents and making the place "homey" for them. She also enjoyed decorating the home for holidays to make it extra special for the residents. After she retired, she worked part time for Meals on Wheels, continuing her service to seniors.
Darlene's greatest enjoyment was spending time with family. She also liked collecting angels and fiber optic holiday decorations, watching westerns, and gardening.
Survivors include her four children: Bruce (Nancy) Schultz of Lone Rock, WI; Mike Schultz (Helen Mahoney) of Baraboo, WI; Sarah (Schultz) Hart (Paul Krienke) of Hazelhurst, WI; Valerie Schultz of Baraboo, WI; her sister, Sandy Hubbard of Loves Park IL; brother, Charles Paske of Portage, WI; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill (1985), brother Edward, sister Mary Jane, brother-in-law Melvin; brother-in-law Richard (Dick); and sister-in-law Cecile.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, at the St. John's Lutheran Church, 624 East Street, Baraboo. A private family burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Portage.

Sarah and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Darlene must have been a wonderful person to have raised a beautiful daughter in Sarah. I'm sorry I will not make the funeral. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

Dear family , I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Darlene , I remember her as a very kind woman when she was at the Magdelen Home , I was a maintenance man for quite a while under her I lived across the alley from the home. She was always a very hard worker ,she worked sun up to sundown . I pray for healing and strength for the family and friends so that u all might carry on what she would want you all to do .
