I enjoyed the several months i was caring for Denny while doing in home care. He always had a good story to tell and kept me updated on sports. He was a great man. He will be missed.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I am saddened I never got the opportunity to meet my (former) father-in-law. He was always kind to me.

I just found out via my mom, who has a friend that lives in Baraboo, who saw dad's obit in the paper. I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. I was never really close to my dad. I had a closer relationship with my uncle Lee. And the last time I had any contact with my dad's side of the family was roughly 20 years ago, when I moved out to California (shortly after uncle Bill's passing). I've recently started trying to get back in contact with some of my cousins, but haven't had any luck yet. It's sad knowing that, while I don't have any children of my own, I won't be able to tell dad that I recently became a permanent guardian to my fiance's 10-year-old cousin, whose father (my fiance's uncle) passed away two years ago. I think dad would have liked Kolby. He's very energetic and intelligent for his age.

Denny was such a great man to take care of, nothing got him down! He knew the sports so well he could have been a sports reporter! He cared so much about us that he would often stop just to say hi. I am deeply sorry for his loss, he had such a great smile that I will never forget. Thank you for the remembrance of me.
