He will be missed like no other. He was like a father to me and I will cherish the fun times together. Lawn mowing will not be the same without him but I'm so grateful he wanted for me to help him out mowing lawns. I will try and do my best. God bless you Papa Gene.

I met Eugene while driving school bus for Kobussen Buses in Baraboo. He had a great sense of humor and loved driving the the big yellow bus. He also cut the grass at the bus terminal. He took pride in everything he did.

I met Gene over 8 years ago. He was a kind hearted man that wanted to help others. He met my Mom and the fell in love. He asked me for permission to marry her and be my Step dad. I was so happy and proud to say Yes to both. He introduced me to the next person we seen as his Step Daughter. They made the cutest couple and I have not seen anyone so happy as the two of them. Before we knew it he was sick and we were waiting for him to get well again and then he was gone. It is very hard to say good by even though I know he is in Heaven with Betty to keep him company. We will miss you Gene with all my love, God Bless you.

He’s definitely gonna be dearly missed. I enjoyed getting to know Eugene over the years, he always had a spunk and a gift to gab, even had it when he wasn’t feeling well. We would share jokes and few laughs.
