Teressa Ann Anderson , Age 63

June 21, 1956 --February 16, 2020

Teressa Ann Anderson (63) of Baraboo, formerly of Stoughton, WI went home to be with her savior on Sunday, February 16, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. Stubborn and passionate are two words to describe Teressa but the underlying directive was always love.

Teressa was born in Stotts City, Missouri and moved to Stoughton, WI shortly thereafter with her mother and brother. Teressa graduated from Stoughton High School where she met her husband, Duane Anderson. They were married on October 12th, 1974. For a few years, Duane and Teressa owned a trucking agency under American Freight which is what brought them to Baraboo with their three children.

Having a passion for people, Teressa graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from UW-Madison in 1994. Her nursing career was with Home Health United as a home care nurse and eventually ended up directing the Hospice House in Baraboo. Her absolute favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. Many trips were spent RVing and camping. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending her time reading, crafting and quilting, cooking and playing cards. She had a tremendous love for history, specifically for Biblical History.

Teressa also spent her time with her church family at Walnut Hill Bible Church. Faith was a huge part of life for Teressa. She relied on Jesus for strength and wisdom in times of struggle and praised God throughout. Teressa really understood her need for a savior while her children were young. Realizing her separation from God and that Jesus is the only way to a relationship with Him, she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. We celebrate knowing the truth that Teressa is at home in the arms of her savior.

Teressa and Duane celebrated 45 years of marriage this last October. They have 3 children Travis (Eli) Anderson, Tamara (Kevin) Persic, and Tiffany Anderson-Palacios; and 11 grandchildren: Katlyn, Dakota, Kloe, Makaila, Jacob, Caleb, Fabrizio, Hannah, Abegail, Eliana, and Alaysia. She is also survived by her father, Richard Iverson and 3 brothers C.W (Christy), David (Donna) and Larry Iverson and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Janice Iverson and biological father, Bud Mayberry. There are so many people who have meant so much to Teressa over the years.

Thank you to all those who contributed to making this tough transition easier. We appreciate all of your love and support through this difficult time. We would also like to say a special thank you to the wonderful staff at UW-Madison and St. Marys hospitals.

Visitation and Celebration of Life Services are scheduled for 9:30 and 11:00 respectively on Saturday February 22, 2020 at Walnut Hill Bible Church 1900 East Ave in Baraboo. Light luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has set-up a scholarship through the nursing school at UW-Madison.
