William `Bill` Rau , Age 63
William Bill Rau, 63 of Baraboo, passed away Saturday October 12, 2019 in Meriter Hospital in Madison.
Bill was born in Baraboo on April 5, 1956 to parents LeRoy and Dawn (Schultz) Rau. On June 19, 2004 he was united in marriage to April Dawn Adkins. Bill worked at Badger Ammunition Plant in Baraboo, Perry Printing, and did maintenance at local Baraboo schools for several years.
Bill loved music and singing, he sang at the First Presbyterian Church in Baraboo and St. Johns in Baraboo for many weddings and funerals. He was also an avid WWII history buff, and he loved working on cars and small engines.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill is survived by his wife, April Rau; children, George Rau and Karen (Stephen) Miller; step-son, Steven Adkins; grandchildren, Seth, Sylvie and Viktor Miller; siblings, Jim (Barb) Rau, and Sharon (Dennis) Czubin; as well as a niece and nephews, and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
A memorial service will take place at noon on Saturday November 2, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church in Baraboo. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Pastor Lisa Newberry will be officiating. Luncheon will follow the service. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
