Audrey Eleanor Smith Clement Hein


Audrey Eleanor Smith Clement Hein, age 83 of Baraboo, passed away with family by her side on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Oak Park Place. Audrey, daughter of Milton and Ardyth (Jones) Smith, was born on their family farm on August 1, 1935 in Liberty Township. She graduated in 1953 from Union Free High School in Fennimore. Later, she attended Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Madison then transferred to Madison Vocational School where she graduated with a degree in Licensed Trained Practical Nursing. She married Oliver "Ollie" Raymond Clement on June 16, 1956. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1998. She married Harold August Hein on June 3, 2000. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2019. She volunteered at Oak Creek Community United Methodist Church and Milwaukee Public Schools. She was an avid choir director, accompanist and singer, taught Sunday School, drove for the Sauk County Commission on Aging, was a member of U.M. Women and was a current member of Emanuel United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing, being a substitute choir director and substitute organist. In her free time she enjoyed singing, Bible study, gardening, canning, traveling, genealogy, square dancing, sewing, hunting, fishing, and camping. Survivors include her children, Oliver M. Clement (Ginger Adams), Diana (Rick) Franzen and Douglas (Bonnie) Clement; stepchildren, Georgette Jackson (Curtis Christman); Inga Hunt (Mia Tortino), Susan (Kelley) McGuiness, Barbara Fassl and Michael Riva; brother, Gary (Patricia) Smith; sister, Evelyn (Clarence) Eggert; sister-in-law, Shirley Clement; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Oliver and Harold; sister, Muriel (Grover) Schellinger. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. at Emanuel United Methodist Church, 101 14th St., Baraboo with Pastor Blake Overlien officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Creek Community United Methodist Church (Oak Creek, WI), Emanuel United Methodist Church (Baraboo) or the American Cancer Society. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
