Robert "Bob" Steven Bobrowicz


Robert "Bob" Steven Bobrowicz, passed away into God's loving arms, on Tuesday June 18, 2019, Baraboo, Wisconsin at the age of 79. Robert, who was proud of his Ukrainian heritage, was born on Nov 9, 1939 in Chicago to Joseph Bobrowicz and Amelia (Panasuik) Bobrowicz Zelechivsky. He married Judith Kempen in 1963 and later moved to Westfield, Wisconsin in 1965 where they had 2 children, Matthew and Laura. He spent most of his working life as a draftsman for Olin Corporation at Badger Army Ammunition Plant. He relocated to Baraboo in the 1980's where he lived the remainder of his life.Bob is survived by his son, Matthew (Jennifer) and grandchildren Alexander, Tatiana, and Zoe of Monroe, WI; daughter Laura (Mark) Romzek and grandchildren Abigail, Lily, and Graciella of Houlton, WI; former wife Judith Kempen of Milton, Florida. He was also the "best big brother in the world" to his one and only little sister Sandra (Dan) Zelechevsky Lavorini of Chicago, IL, and is also survived by nephews, Daniel (Susie) Lavorini Jr. and Joseph Lavorini, and several grand nephews, nieces, and cousins.Bob was known quite well for his humor and always loved a good laugh. He was an excellent artist and mathematician. He enjoyed animals and spending time appreciating nature. He was a deep thinker, enjoyed listening to stories, and watching movies. As an avid reader, the library in Baraboo was often his home away from home. He was a caring and loyal friend who developed many special long-lasting relationships and dear friends over the years. Ultimately, he was known best in his later years for his role as Grandpa "Bob-Bob", a time in his life where he relayed many stories about his six grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.A visitation and a memorial service will be held at Redlin Funeral Home on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., and the memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m.. Pastor Thomas Dunbar will preside over the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Baraboo Public Library in honor of Robert Bobrowicz.
