Margaret A. (Meyer) Jensen


Margaret A. Jensen, of Baraboo entered Heaven's gates on May 24, 2019 at the age of 95. She was born in Hill Point, WI on September 16, 1923. On April 8, 1945, Margaret married the love of her life Robert Jensen. They spent the first two years of marriage in Milwaukee and later moved to Baraboo where they spent the remainder of their lives and raised their family.A consummate mother and homemaker, Margaret was a talented seamstress, beautician and baker. Bob and Margaret were well known for having a large garden and loved to give fresh strawberries and vegetables to shut-ins, friends and neighbors. In addition to raising their four children she also worked at Snow White, Tent & Awning, and Soil test. She volunteered as a Cub Scout den mother, 4-H leader, and National Guard wives club.Margaret had an unwavering faith in God and was devoted member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Over the years, she was actively involved with the ladies aide and other groups within the church and school. She loved to sing and share her faith with others.Margaret is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Jensen; son Ralph and Patricia Jensen; parents, Silas and Hedwig Meyer (Brandt); sisters Voila Lueck and Valera Koch; and grandsons Bradley Hinz and Billy Joe Jensen.Margaret is survived by her sons David (Sharon) Jensen of Baraboo, James (Teressa) Jensen of Avoca, and daughter Linda (Richard) Hinz of Baraboo; seven grandchildren, Julie (Chris) Jensen Smith, James Jensen Jr, (Krystal), Becky and Clayton Hinz, Samuel (Amanda) Jensen, Jennifer and Ashley Jensen; five great-grandchildren, Tiffany Brewer and Kurt Trimble, Kayla and Kiely Jensen, Brooklynn Jensen; and one great-great-grandchild, Elizabeth Brewer. She is further survived by a brother Elmer Meyer, and sister Elaine Schulz, as well as many friends and family.Her extended family included her St Clare Meadows caregivers; she was referred to as Momma J. grandma to all. She touched many hearts, was loved dearly; her strength and smile were admired by everyone who had the pleasure to know her. The family gives everyone who cared for Margaret their sincere gratitude.The funeral service will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo on Thursday, May 30th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service at the church. A luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the service. Internment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Reedsburg, WI at 2:00 p.m. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
