Helen J. Young

Helen J. Young, age 82 of Baraboo passed away Friday, March 15, 2019 at home with family by her side. Helen daughter of Albert and Bernadette Amyotte was born June 4, 1936 in Blind River, Ontario, Canada. On Sept. 10, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert Young in Kentucky. Helen and her husband owned Young's Doodle Dandy and worked in the hospitality field. She also worked as an aid in the Baraboo School District. In her free time she enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and cooking.Survivors include her husband, Robert; children, Michelle "Shelly" Young, Robert "Bobby" Young, Jr.; grandson, Joshua (Terra) Ringham; great-grandson, Wyatt; great-granddaughter, Kielly; siblings, Shirley Boyer and Bill (Shaun) Amyotte as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George and Jay Amyotte and brother-in-law, Art Boyer.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Jared Holzhuter officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
