Lucille (nee Larsen) Kuntz


Lucille Larsen Kuntz of Baraboo, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 7, 2019 at 4:15 a.m. at Oak Park Place at the age of 92.She was born April 24, 1926 near Shell Lake, Wisconsin in Washburn County and was the eldest child born to Laura (Wolkow) and Howard Larsen.When Lucille as twelve years of age the family moved to the Baraboo area where Lucille graduated from Baraboo High School in 1944.In 1948 she married Wesley John Kuntz. He preceded her in death in 1986.Lucille and Wesley were the parents of four children: John (Mary) Wesley Kuntz Collins of Baraboo, James (deceased), Linda (Dan) Adelman of Australia, and Beth (Philip) Foss of Bloomington, Minnesota.Lucille enjoyed her family, photography, square dancing and travel.She lived independently nearly to the age of ninety-one, when she became a resident of Oak Park Place in Baraboo. There she continued to enjoy visitors and special television programs.Lucille is survived by three children, six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Ted Larsen of Sauk City, Edward (Marlene) Larsen of Sauk City; her sister, Mary Jean (Bob) Peterson of Brookfield, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Elaine Larsen of Elkorn, Wisconsin, Donna Larsen of Baraboo, Wisconsin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.In addition to her husband and son James, Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Clara Klemm; her brothers, Howard Larsen, Tom Larsen and a baby brother; brother-in-law, Robert Klemm and sisters-in-law, Millie Larsen and Lynn Larsen.She was a long time supporter of the Baraboo Public library, Lucille loved to read and listen to recorded books. Those who wish to may leave a memorial in her name to the Baraboo Public Library or to the family.Services for Lucille will be held at Emanuel United Methodist Church, located at 101 14th St, Baraboo, WI 53913 on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Blake Overlien officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A luncheon at church will follow the service. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
