Donna J. Klemm

Donna J. Klemm, North Freedom, WI, earned her angel wings on Dec. 21, 2018. Her family held her tight as she set out on the final leg of her journey, cheering her on as she reached her heavenly home. Donna was born on Christmas Eve, 1946, to Harold and Esther (Zimmerman) Neuman in Baraboo, WI. She was raised on the family farm in Greenfield Township with her sister and five brothers. On Jan. 11, 1964, Donna married the love of her life, Frank "Buzzy" P. Klemm, Jr. Donna is deeply missed by Buzzy and their children: Curtis (Patricia) Klemm, Christopher (Julie) Klemm, Richard (Lynn) Klemm, Monica (Tim) Seiler, Jerry (Vikki) Klemm, and Lisa (Jeremy) Braudt.Donna's grandchildren were her heart and joy, bringing her so much comfort. In her final days, their giggles gave her the biggest smiles. Missing their Grandma dearly are Brittanee (Josh) Leverenz and great-granddaughter McKenzie Leverenz, Hannah, Drew and Spencer Klemm, Brooke and Bree Seiler, Ridge and Raegan Klemm and Koreena, Sami and Garrett Greslin, Cole Klemm and Jolie and Jagger Braudt. Thank you, Amanda and Addy, for taking such good care of Grandpa.Donna was known for her kind heart, wit, and selflessness. Donna's courage and strength through her illness was beyond measure. Donna stayed home and raised her six children. Later she worked at Almet/Sunbeam, Hammond Manufacturing and St. Vincent de Paul. She enjoyed her home and was welcoming to all who entered; she was a mom to many of her kids' friends and cousins. Donna also delighted many with her talent of baking and decorating numerous wedding and birthday cakes. Donna enjoyed cooking large meals for her family, always having the cookie and candy jars full. A favorite treat was her special brownies. In addition to baking and cooking, Donna treasured spending time with her family, driving her Jeep Wrangler, sunny days on the patio, feeding the birds, canning, gardening, fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, crocheting, the Green Bay Packers, and Coors Light.Donna was passionate about keeping the birdfeeders full on the St. Clare Hospice House grounds. With the help of her son Curt and daughter Lisa, a fund was created to provide birdseed for the many feeders on the grounds so that the other residents could enjoy watching the birds as much as she did.In addition to her husband Buzzy, children, and grandchildren, Donna is survived by her sister Carol (Russ) Greenwood, Broadus, MT, and brothers Arlan (Celeste) Neuman and Michael (Terri) Neuman both of Baraboo, WI; her sisters-in-law June Neuman, Jan Neuman, Mary Buelow, Beth Klemm, Juanita Klemm and brother-in-law Michael Pace, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Donna was looking forward to reuniting with her infant son Andrew, her mother and father, and brothers Roger, Duane "Fritz" and James Neuman.A heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Clare Hospice House for their love and support that they've shown in the past days and weeks for Donna and her family.
